cake plate (+punch bowl)!

This weekend some dear friends were in town from NYC. I was so excited to see them, as they are expecting their first child in October and it would be the first time I would get to see her baby bump. Imagine my surprise when they arrived with a big bag from Williams Sonoma! They had brought us an engagement gift from our registry (our first registry gift)! It is a gorgeous glass domed cake plate that doubles as a punch bowl if you turn it all around. It is perfect.

I can't wait to make something to put in it! Now I just have to decide what to make first. I think it is most likely to be oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. So excited! Thank you so much!
